Jerez Stone-Coleman, better known by his stage name Kid Cole, was on Wednesday arrested by police in Washington D.C. and is now behind bars. The rapper, who is loved by many in MTVs “Catfish”, was arrested after he made terror threats against the nation’s capital trains and buses.
According to investigators who have taken up the case, the rapper made false bomb as well as hostage threats for at least 11 times. Every time he made a call, the rapper made a fake threat and as a result the police were forced to send in a response team that had to investigate so as to make sure that no one was hurt. This eventually resulted into a disruption of the nation’s capital transit services. Before the response team could make any arrest, the response team had to track the incident the police used video surveillance as well as phone audio and cell phone records.
Here is a statement that was released by Ron Pavlik, the DC Metro Transit Police Chief in Washington D.C;
“We have no greater responsibility than protecting Metro’s customers and employees. his case demonstrates the seriousness with which we take all threats and the lengths to which we will go to bring those responsible to justice.”
All in all the rapper admitted that this whole incident had been staged by him so as to get some attention. Poor-old fella.
